Music By Dead People

I am sorry in my lack of blog posting.....I have absolutely NO life....except....recently (Tuesday) I went to a 3 Doors Down concert with Tiffany and Melissa (my other roommate). It was great! But more importantly, THEORY OF A DEADMAN were there....That's why I went. Yep, I went for the opening act. In case this is news to you, I LOVE THEORY OF A DEADMAN. Due to the heavy guitars, I usually don't mention it in the Cardwell household.  Now a lot of you are probably like "Who in the world are Theory of a Deadman?" which wouldn't surprise me. They are not very popular. The only song I have ever heard on the radio is "Not Meant to Be." Anyways, I will place a song at the very end of my blog. It will be legit. I am not sure which one I am going to put though...So I will keep thinking about it as I type.

Life has been hectic for me. Papers are coming at me like a zombie to brains. Work is horrid. They make me carry really heavy boxes and send me out in the cold. There have been many times I just wanted to just pull out a white flag and wave it around. "OK COUGAR EAT!  YOU WIN!!!" By the way, I am the only one who does this. ONLY ONE! That's why I changed my name from "Floater" to "Slave" on Facebook.

So Tiffany perfectly explains what it's like to be at BYU by saying that it's like BYU is grabbing your head and pushing you under water. You feel like you are drowning and you can't do anything about it. Weekends they just let you up for air for a second before you they put you back in for the plunge. So with this in mind, I picked the song "Head Above Water" by Theory of a Deadman
P.S. Let me know if I converted you to a fan =)

Access the Animus

First I am going to talk about how attractive this videogame character is. First, he's Italian, which means he has a sexy accent that makes girls melt! Second, he's just attractive! Even when he's 41!!! The name of this character is Ezio Auditore da Firenze from Assassin's Creed!

This is when he's 41.......

I was going to put what he looked like when he was younger, but I couldn't find any without his hood on. Why does he wear a hood, because he is an Assassin....but a good Assassin. =)

Anyways, back to reality. Time in Texas is slowly ticking away. For my birthday I packed up all my clothes and sent them to Susan so I can pick them up when I am in Provo. So, my lack of clothes, jewelry, shoes, is very disheartening....

On Saturday I went shopping with Rachelle and Sarah at the Town East Mall (Mesquite, Texas). We went on a special mission...the Victora's Secret kind of mission.. haha it was fun. We also tried on skank dresses at Forever 21! And to top it off, we got Strawberry Dacheries from Chilies....yes they were virgin....

But basically I waste all my time writing my paper to the University of Texas and playing Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. I am such a nerd......but I make up for it...hopefully....

Cheesy Insults and Blue Heads

So what has been going on in the life of Deanna? Well, if you must know. Life has been a little nuts. Papers have been flying at me (not literally) and readings have been piling on. I've managed to keep my sanity by going to BYU baseball games and sleeping. So let's start with baseball. On Tuesday, I dragged oh so wonderful Tiffany to the BYU vs. UVU game. UVU fans sat next to us, and it became slightly awkward. They are very lame with their chants. "Rise and shout the Cougars are OUT!" Really, UVU? Really? How long did it take you to come up with that? I'd suggest you come up with another one, but I'd hate for your brain to explode. Anyways, the game was super cold. All I brought was a light jacket. Tiffany did the same but brought flip flops. At least we beat UVU. It made it fun. Wednesday was fine. I had a meeting with the Relief Society presidency then my roommates and I borrowed Megamind from Brett. I LOVE THAT MOVIE!!!!! "OH! MY GIANT BLUE HEAD!!!" Thursday was great. I don't remember what happened that day, but I know it must have been super amazing. All I remember is that I officially became a Classics Major. WOOT WOOT! Then yesterday, which was Friday (Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday) I went to school. Came home and slept. Because I am a tired girl. Then I went to our wards closing social. FOOD! It was very enjoyable. Somehow Bishop Davis got ahold of my senior homecoming queen nomination picture and put it in our ward slideshow....o.O Then we went to Xtreme Air Sports. At which, Blaine managed to basically destroy my back. Thanks Blaine, wherever you are. But I did tackle Tiffany into the ground! Then Eric and Tim came over and watched the Emperors New Groove. Still the best movie ever.  Then today, none of us woke up til noon because we are so exhausted. We went to the Bookstore and made enchiladas. We ended are evening by going over to Matt V.'s apartment and watching Stardust. I also managed to get called twice today from a Texas number who never spoke into my phone but I heard everything. So if you are calling me Texas peeps. Fess us. Because I have a unique set of special skills......

RIP Issac Newton

I woke up with great intentions todays. My plan
10:00-12:00 Physical Science Forum
12:00-2:00 American Heritage Review
2:00-2:45 Lunch
3:15-4:00 Work on my "Nature Experience"

It sounds like a legit schedule. However, I woke up and couldn't get it out of my head that it was Saturday. I shouldn't have to do school work on Saturday. So I slept in and skipped the optional Physical Science Forum. Then me, forgetting it was a Saturday, missed the bus to campus by a half hour (it usually comes every half hour but on saturdays only once an hour) so I thought I would work on my nature experience at the Provo River until the next bus. However it was windy and my measurements were blowing away...forcing me to miss the next bus as well. So I went to the CocoaBean to melt my sorrows with a Vanilla Hot Chocolate and a Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cupcake. So, I came home caught up on The Bachelor, Bones, Glee, Modern Family, and many more. Then we watched the BYU vs. Gonzaga game. We DOMINATED. SWEET 16 BABY!!! Then I dolled myself up and went to the Wyview/Heritage Invitational Dance. This was the first time I saw Sarah Burchett all year....and we live less then a mile away....I saw her more when we lived an hour and a half away in Melissa. But the dance was amazing. Tom and Daniel tried to sneak in wearing jeans, but they got kicked out. So Tiffany and I sneakily brought them ice cream. Of course, I gave mine to Daniel, because Tom is always so mean to me and calls me "Slave Master". My feet are killing me still, an hour after the dance! Whoever decided women should wear heels are on my list, right behind Isaac Newton, because I'm still bitter to Physics.
